Responsibilities

Fabrication Superintendent responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that all aspects of the company safety policy and procedures are adhered to in the direct and indirect areas of the Fabrication floor to ensure the safety of all employees
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the food safety, HAACP and Government programs are adhered to with emphasis on the continued compliance to these programs
  • Leading and mentoring Supervisory and General Supervisor staff daily
  • Directing the workforce to complete daily sales orders
  • Employee conflict resolution assistance with Supervisors and General Supervisor
  • Advising superiors and other appropriate members of the maintenance department of equipment failure or items requiring maintenance
  • Ensuring all operations departments receive prompt, efficient, and quality service to operate at maximum efficiency
  • Working in conjunction with Quality Assurance department to assure that all food safety requirements are complying
  • Accountable for the efficiency and effectiveness of all labor and resources under supervision
  • Working towards reducing employee turnover
  • Working to attain company goals on yields to increase profitability
  • Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position.  This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Fabrication Superintendent position should possess the following:

  • High School Diploma preferred but not necessary
  • Must have significant fabrication production job knowledge
  • Satisfactory safety record & good performance record
  • Ability to recognize problems and report to the Fabrication Manager
  • Ability to interpret relevant reports and information
  • Good Leadership skills
  • Communication Skills, Problem Solving Skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with all exempt and non-exempt employees both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to document extensively
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Ability to assist supervisory staff when dealing with employees and resolving issues
  • Willing to work flexible hours
