Responsibilities

Rendering Production Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain production and quality while ensuring a safe work environment

  • Assure that product is produced to company specifications

  • Hold employee meetings to communicate and teach safety, policy, quality and other information and requirements

  • Train employees to ensure that they are following proper procedures and policies while conforming to customer requirements.  Provide corrective action – discipline if needed

  • Learn the specifics of each position within your area of responsibility

  • Monitor and maintain accurate Workforce Dimensions records for payroll

  • Assure employee safety

  • Work to minimize the impact of any employee injuries

  • Work to instill cooperation with others

  • Assure employees are properly trained and equipped with appropriate protective equipment

  • Assure that all employee questions and problems are responded to timely

  • Conduct self in a professional manner

  • Manage front-line supervisory staff and ensure that all jobs are completed timely

  • Review production schedules to ensure product specifications are being followed to meet demand

  • Examine products at various stages for variations from standard

  • Supervise, coordinate, and issue instruction to front-line supervisors and hourly employees

  • Other duties as assigned

This is an on-site position.  This is a safety sensitive position.

 

Hours of work: Monday to Friday; Saturday as needed; Shifts may vary; 24 hours on call

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Rendering Production Manager position should possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Significant rendering department knowledge, previous rendering experience
  • Ability to recognize problems that are or could be of a serious nature and report appropriately
  • Ability to interpret relevant reports and information
  • Good leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all employees both verbally and in writing
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Good written communication skills
  • Mathematical computation and analytical skills preferred
  • Ability to handle stressful situations

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
