Purchasing Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Plan, schedule, control and direct the use of resources to meet operational requirements of the facility from procurement to finished goods tracking
• Maintain traceability of packaging materials and ingredients for recall purposes
• Determine and maintain appropriate inventories of all packaging materials, repair parts and suppliers
• Issue employee equipment and record in BPCS
• Create necessary purchase orders
• Receive purchase orders correctly
• Manage all Issue / Usage transactions
• Daily and weekly usage reporting
• Ensure purchase orders are correctly valued
• Cycle counting / physical inventory on a regular basis
• Maintain “un-costed” report for maintenance and packaging
• Negotiate plant level pricing for materials and supplies
• Maintain purchasing area
• Interaction with Operations, Maintenance, and accounting projects
• Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position.  This is not a remote position.

Qualified candidates for the Purchasing Manager Position should possess the following:

• 2-5 years of leadership experience equivalent to or greater than supervisory duties (or evidence of demonstrable skills)
• Proven experience in supply-chain management
• Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet operational plans
• Skilled in Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
• Possess strong analytical skills
• Possess strong time management skills
• Strong process management skills
• Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Must be self-motivated and driven towards excellence
