Responsibilities

Technical Services Sanitation Supervisor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

The Technical Services Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for monitoring 3rd Shift Sanitation Practices in all National Beef Packing facilities.  This will include keeping a master list of chemicals and a label sample for all chemicals used on file.   This person will monitor all aspects of third shift cleaning, including floor release to the clean-up group, sanitation practices throughout the shift, pre-operational inspection and release of the area to operations.  This person will pull micro samples when necessary.  

 

The Sanitation Supervisor will provide daily reports of observations, issues that arise that affect the efficacy of the nightly clean up as well as chemical usages (titrations, application).   The normal shift of work will be the third shift.  The Sanitation Supervisor will travel frequently, but primarily will work in one in Liberal, Kansas, or Dodge City, Kansas.  The Sanitarian will also frequently fill in for the Plant Sanitarian when that person is on vacation. 

 

The Sanitation Supervisor will work in a safe manner. Working 3rd shift around chemicals, moving equipment, and the floors in various states of sanitation requires safety awareness and safety requirements for use of PPE, lockout/tagout, fall protection and all other applicable safety requirements. 

 

This person will work within the chain of command for Technical Services, reporting directly to the Director of Technical Services but will work with the Plant Q.A. Management, Laboratories, Operations as well as 3rd Shift Sanitation group and Maintenance.  

 

Job Activities:

  • Daily monitoring of sanitation practices to assure that the sanitation standards are met.
  • Frequent travel throughout the United States.
  • Communicating and documenting findings to Plant Management.
  • Use of Quality Assurance Hold Tags to control areas of the plant and product that does not meet the standards of the company.
  • Timely completion of expense reports.  

Summary:

 

The Technical Services Sanitation Supervisor is expected to provide accurate, detailed information concerning the 3rd shift cleaning activities. This will include working with various people within National Beef as well as contractors.  

 

This is a safety sensitive position.  This is an on-site position.

 

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Technical Services Sanitation Supervisor position should possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • History of exhibiting good attendance and work ethic in past jobs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to work well with others as the job has inherent conflict and confrontational aspects
  • Excel and MS Office Proficient
  • Ability to lead and motivate others to perform the required activities
